Privacy Notice

Last updated October 6, 2026

Groundbook is a football stadium album and diary. Your album, memories and photos are stored in an account so they can be backed up, and this notice explains what is stored, where, and who processes it. flapp.studio is responsible for this data. The waitlist on this website has its own notice.

Your account

The first time you open Groundbook, it creates an anonymous account so you can start an album without signing up. If you choose to back up your album, you can sign in with Apple or Google, which links that sign-in to the same account. We receive the identifier your provider gives us, and your email address or name if you allow it to share them.

Location

Groundbook asks for your location only while the app is open, and uses it when you tap “Collect” to check you are at the stadium. The reading is sent once to our server to compare it with the ground. We do not store your coordinates. We keep only the rounded distance to the ground and the reading’s accuracy, together with the collection. There is no background tracking and no location history. Browsing and adding past visits work without location.

What we store in your account

The grounds you have collected or recorded (with the dates and collection numbers), your memories (visit date, match, note), your photos, grounds you have saved to your wishlist, your achievements, and your Pro status. Only you can read your album, memories and photos. Photos are compressed on your phone and kept in a private store. A copy of your album is cached on your phone so it works offline.

Reports

If you report a missing or incorrect ground, we keep the report with your account so we can review it and keep a record of where catalogue changes came from.

Share cards

When you share a card, Groundbook makes an image on your phone and hands it to the share sheet. You choose whether it includes your photo. What you do with the image is up to you.

Purchases

Groundbook Pro is a one-time purchase handled by the App Store or Google Play. The store processes your payment, and RevenueCat tells us whether your store account has Pro. We never see your payment details.

Usage statistics

We use PostHog to count how the app is used, such as whether a collection succeeded or a card was shared. These events are linked to your account’s random identifier. They never include coordinates, photos, notes, match details or which grounds you visit. There is no advertising and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.

Who processes your data

Supabase hosts the account and album database, the photo store and the server functions, in an EU region (Frankfurt). Apple and Google provide sign-in, purchases and the maps shown in the app. RevenueCat handles purchase status and PostHog handles usage statistics. Some of these are US companies, so their staff may access data from outside the EU, covered by their data processing agreements and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. They process data only on our behalf, except Apple and Google for their own services.

Map and image sources

Stadium locations and outlines come from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) and facts from Wikidata (CC0). Stadium photos are used only when they are public domain or CC0. The app shows each photo’s source on the stadium card.

Deleting your data

Profile → “Delete account” permanently deletes your account, album, memories and photos. Your Pro purchase stays with your store account and can be restored later. Deleting the app alone removes only what is on the phone, not your account.

Your rights

You can see, correct and delete your data in the app. For anything else, or to ask for a copy of your data, email hello@flapp.studio. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Age

Groundbook is for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, where needed, tell you in the app.
