Privacy Notice

Last updated October 13, 2026

Stint is a personal time tracker. Your hours stay on your phone: there is no account, no server and nothing to sign up for. This notice explains what is stored, where, and the few things that can leave your device. flapp.studio is responsible for this data. The waitlist on this website has its own notice.

What is stored, and where

Your projects, tasks, work-type labels, sessions (start and end times, pauses and the time spent on each task) and settings are stored on your device only. We don’t have an account system, a profile or cloud storage for your hours, and we can’t see what you track.

Notifications

The “plan finished” notification and the optional evening review reminder are local notifications scheduled on your phone by its operating system (iOS or Android). Stint asks for permission only when you start a countdown or turn the reminder on, and no reminder data is sent to us. If you say no, tracking works as usual.

Backups and restoring

You can export all your data as a JSON file from Settings. The app hands the file to your phone’s share sheet, and where it goes is up to you. To restore, you pick a file from your phone; the app checks it first and asks before replacing anything. We never receive these files.

What leaves your device

Nothing, as part of normal use. Stint doesn’t send your data to us or to anyone else, and it works without an internet connection. The only other parties involved are your phone’s own services, under their own terms: Apple or Google deliver the local notifications, the share sheet sends a backup file wherever you choose, and your phone’s backup (iCloud or Google) may include the app’s storage. The Privacy policy, Terms and Support links in Settings open these pages in your browser.

No analytics, ads or tracking

Stint has no analytics, no advertising, no advertising ID and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites. It doesn’t use AI to read your content.

Purchases

This version has no in-app purchases. If a paid option is added later, it will be handled by the App Store or Google Play, and we’ll update this notice before it goes live.

How long data is kept

Your data stays on your device until you delete it in the app or delete the app. There is no copy on our side, so we have nothing to keep or delete. Backup files you export stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Deleting your data

You can delete any session in the app. Projects and tasks can’t be deleted one by one, so that past reviews stay complete: you can archive a project or tick a task off, which hides it from your lists but keeps its recorded time. To remove everything, including projects and tasks, delete the app; restoring a backup also replaces all data in the app. Because Stint has no sync, your history doesn’t move to a new phone by itself; export a backup first if you want to keep it.

Withdrawing consent

Notifications are the only thing Stint asks your permission for. You can withdraw it at any time: turn the evening reminder off in the app’s Settings, or switch notifications off for Stint in your phone’s settings. Tracking keeps working either way.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about your tracking, the app is the place to see, export or delete it. For anything else, email hello@flapp.studio. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Age

Stint is for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, where needed, tell you in the app.
